Along with the merging of the former Federal Circuit Court of Australia and Family Court of Australia in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Court’s website has had a complete overhaul and face lift.
fcfcoa.gov.au has been designed to provide a user friendly and simplified experience for parties, lawyers and the public.
Parties will still be able to access their Court documents, Orders and other information about their matter on the CommCourts Portal.
The new website contains three videos providing information to parties before they commence litigation. The first aims to promote smarter ways to separate and encourage the use of family dispute resolution such as mediation, the other two provide details about the FCFCOA and a step-by-step guide on what parties can expect when they attend Court either in person or electronically.
The website also has a quick exit button on the righthand side at all times, allowing those on the website to click away from the page if they feel unsafe browsing the website.
